Our annual event, this year held on the evening of Friday January 29th and sponsored by The Independent and Free Press, includes dynamic keynote speaker David Storey, local performers from the emerging spoken word field, cultural highlights from 2015 and lots of time to mix and mingle. KEYNOTE SPEAKER DAVID STOREY – David Storey has done it all! After leaving music to raise a family for 20 years David initially helmed award-winning videos and tv specials for the likes of Tom Cochrane, Stompin’ Tom and Anne Murray. He then moved into comedy productions, eventually developing, producing and directing the hit television show and movie “Corner Gas” before going back on stage with his own songs in 2011.
